Roots
Born and raised in Melbourne, Ashleigh comes from an upbringing where life was strongly encouraged by movement through sports, dancing & movement. This invoked early on, a strong link between movement and wellbeing. Ashleigh’s interest into the wellness world sparked back in 2011 living in Los Angeles, with the yoga coming into play a little later once moving back to Melbourne & securing a high pressure fashion role at Australia’s leading accessories label Head Office.
Yoga originally presented itself as an offering for stress relief by a work colleague, and then became the missing link that movement was providing Ashleigh as a child through dancing.
Seeking for more, Ashleigh completed her 200 HR Yoga Teacher Training along the guidance of Chris Wilson & Cassie Lee at Power Living in 2015. Between the movement, the mindfulness & all the other components that Yoga has to offer, it became a strong philosophy for living.
My Vision
My first experience dipping my toes into Yoga’s waters echoed and vibrated through me for the days that followed. It was as if everything clicked, that I felt clarity & this subtle sense of freedom. Time almost stood still - it felt like magic.
The practice allows me to find the pause button, in a city that encourages anything but - it is these feelings that I try to create into my classes. As we weave through the alchemical process of yoga through the breathe, the play and the flow - the magic of the inner wisdom that leads to our true purpose and passion in life unfolds.
My classes are energetic and playful, with a creative mix of sequencing and pace of movements. This is layered with opportunities to build strength through alignment, find stillness through mindfulness merged with a sprinkle of philosophy providing modern tools to begin to build healthy habits, soften thinking, and ultimately lead to a more vital, conscious way of life.
